Remove saw damage layer and texture wafer surface with acid or alkaline chemicals.

Create P-N junctions while wafer and POCI3 are processed in high temperature in vacuum tube

Remove phosphorus glass (PSG) from wafer surface and isolate wafer edge

Deposit anti-reflection layer (SiNx) on wafer

Print conductive paste (usually silver and aluminum) on to the front and back side of the wafer.

Remove solvent and binder, and forms electrical contacts through sintering process by firing furnace.

Glass The front glass is the heaviest part of the photovoltaic module and it has the function of protecting and ensuring robustness to the entire photovoltaic module. In order to have a higher transparency due to the solar module application, the chemical compositions of the solar front glasses are different compare to the normal glasses which use for normal buildings.For safety reason, tempered glasses are used.

EVA One of the most important materials is the encapsulation, which acts as a binder between the various layers of the PV module. The most common material used for encapsulation is EVA- Ethylene Vinyl Acetate. It is a translucent polymer. It must be cut in the size of the module and deposited before and after the photovoltaic cells. The first EVA sheet will place up on the front glass. When subjected to a thermal process of vacuum cooking, this particular polymer becomes similar to a transparent gel and incorporates the photovoltaic cells.

Connect the solar cells by ribbon.

The second EVA sheet will place between solar cell and back sheet.

Back sheet
The term back sheet literally means the sheet on the back. It is made from a plastic material that has the function to electrically isolate, protect and shield the PV cells from weather and moisture. There are particular versions that can be different in color and in the presence of particular materials for a greater shielding or for a higher strength.

This step is to assemble all above material together into 1 piece of module by pressurizing and heating.

It is to cut EVA into proper size of sheet for use.

One of the last parts to be assembled is the frame. It is normally made of aluminum and has the function to ensure robustness and a practical and safe coupling to the photovoltaic module. A special sealing tape is used to seal up glass and frame.

Junction Box
The junction box has the function of bringing the electrical connections of the PV module outside.
It contains the protection diodes for shadows and the cables for the connection of the modules in the field. In choosing the Junction box, we pay attention to the quality of plastic, the goodness of sealing, the type of connection of the ribbon and the quality of by-pass diodes.
